This Crown Is Perfect For My Mobile System
I'm a mobile DJ and this crown amp is perfect for me. One of the issues of being a mobile DJ is lugging your equipment around. Not a backbreaker any more with this amp. I have the XLS1500 and it weighs less than 9 pounds. Not only that, the power is perfect for my set up. I'm using two 12" JBL's with a continuous rating of 500 @ 4ohms, and the peak meters on the amp don't even move when cranked up at a pretty good volume. If you're looking for power and wouldn't mind lightening up your load, this is the amp to go with.

Plenty of power!
I am happy to say this pushes my MTX tp2400's which consist of 4 12" woofers and 2 horn tweeters.They require 400 watts a side continous at 4 ohm. Little to No distotion :) The quality is great and the inputs are so flexible. I love the way I can patch them all together eliminating a mixer all together :) Highly recommended. They run so cool I cant even feel warmth. I dont know what that other guy is talking about, his was probably faulty or broken.
More bang for your buck!
What the other reviewers said is true; this amp rocks! I haven't found a downside yet. I am a mobile DJ using it to power 2 Bose 802 series II's, and it runs them quite nicely. It actually will run 4 when I get 2 more and daisy-chain them together (dropping my load from 8 to 4 ohm). How can you beat that? The guy who said his shut off must have gotten a rare dud; I just used mine last weekend for an outdoor gig in 85 deg. weather. This is Ohio, so the humidity wasn't low. It pounded for 5 hours straight and never missed a beat. The quality is great and the appearance super clean. The light weight is really appreciated; actually it is amazing for the power output you get. This thing will push 1550 W mono bridged into 4 ohms... enough to run even the most power hungry JBL 18" subs. This is the first Crown product I have purchased, and it won't be the last! I think I need another one for my impending sub purchase! Highly recommended.
