Very affordable punch
I bought 2 of these subs from Guitar Center and they sound great. I power them with a 1400 watt amp and they really put out punchy bass. I would highly recommend these subs for your pa system. The only downside is that they only have quarter inch inputs and no Speakon or wire connectors. Other than that they are great and affordable.

Great passive sub!
I paired TWO of the PV 118 subs with my Peavey PV 115 Mains and now I have the PA system I wanted! I use it in my basement drumming room and the sound is great.
Here's my setup:
CD, PC, Yamaha DT Xpress II electronic drums or any other audio input
10 channel EQ
Behringer four channel mixer (just using the RCA IN/OUTS)
Behringer Crossover
Highs out to a Samson power amplifier to drive the PV 115 Mains
Lows out to Pyle 1400W power amplifier to drive the PV 118 Sub
