Powered Speakers
Bought one speaker PPHP1098A from Amazon/The Price Pros and it works excellent. For the value of what I paid for this item and shipping charges, its worth getting this speaker. In the picture they show Grey molded plastic but actually is black glossy. 10" Speaker versus 15" , easier to carry around.
Hooked up speaker right out of the box and maxed it out as loud as it could get, sounds great at high volume. Also you need Male XLR cables which are easy to hook up to this speaker.

much better than expected
I bought 2 powered pyle pro 600w speakers and have been trying them out over the past week.
I am an avid reader of amazon's reviews as a way to figure out what the pros and cons are of any given product. Like some fellow readers i try to gauge the reviewer's opinion and if it's based on the product itself or shipping issues. I also try to figure out if the review takes into account the value of quality vs. price. As with many buyers I'm on a tight budget and am willing to compromise some of the professional level features for some cost savings.
The first thing that i noticed was that this was a very well made. It's a solid product wrapped in good packaging so the thought of anything being broken is clearly a shipping issue. You can ship a brick and break it, so I sort of discounted the reviews that dealt with shipping issues.
As I turned them on and tested them out I was blown away by the power and the fidelity of the sound. If you ask: "Is it as good...
Worth the Price
I bought this to use at tailgates and outdoor parties. I plug my ipod into it and it works well. You can use the microphone at the same time and sing along too. Its loud and clear, but not alot of base. You cannot go wrong for the price. I'v had it for a couple of months and have not had a problem with it. It arrived well packaged and a day early.
