New LED version of the popular Starball slow rotation similar to a mirror ball.

Goodbye Mirror Balls...
Great little effect! I've always hated setting up a mirror balls and disliked their fragility. I can't tell you how many I've dropped over the last 10 years....no more. The Starball gives off very crisp beams and has a much nicer look. It's pretty sturdy and light enough to mount on an extension arm. It's the perfect, modern, mirror ball replacement. No duty cycles and since its LED it hardly pulls any power. It doesn't heat up like the old pin-spots and is incredibly simple. My only advice, if you are going to a large venue/dance-hall, get two.

Great unit but...
For a modern lighting effect, this is a great product to replace a mirror ball. Actually, nothing can beat a mirror ball effect...but this comes really close. Fairly light-weight, pretty durable build, low power draw and yet bright enough for just about any event. I also like that it comes with a bracket so you can use a single o-clamp for this on your trussing. The only drawback is the power cord. Why American DJ gave it a wall-wart plug is beyond me. Perhaps they were using inventory that was already available and interchangeable with their other products or maybe they just want to keep leeching the customer for money. First off, wall-warts take up space on a power strip or power pack. They're also bulky and heavy. Secondly, the wiring near the wall-wart is just way too flimsy, especially for something that is directed at a mobile-dj market. After a few months of use on the road, the wires started to be exposed. The thicker portion near the wart designed for stress was...
unexpected
2 major problem:
1. The base plate which hides the circuit and makes base to attached handle, all 6 screw female holder are broken, no way to fix it, perhaps plastic used is bad or the courier handling.
2. While booking there was no mention of option to have the light either in 120V or 230V..I got 120V piece, will need to hunt and buy a transformer which will convert 230V to 120V
