Stereo Speaker System

Surprising, to say the least
I've been using an old Atlantic Technology Pattern 100 sat/sub system for about 10 years now and I decided it was time to try something a little more modern. (Also, the AT 100's had an annoying habit of playing a local AM station that has a big antenna near our house through the speakers at various, unpredictable times.) I was going to get a pair of M-Audio AV-40's, and also thought about getting a pair of Behringers, but after reading the reviews of those speaker systems I decided to go with the Numark NPM5's.
My first impression upon taking them out of the box was that they were bigger than I expected. (That's not a problem -- they fit perfecty on my desktop on either side of my 23" monitor. It's just that each speaker is almost the size of some of the subwoofers that come with cheap Logitech or Cyber Acoustic sat/sub sytems.) They were a breeze to set up. Numark NPM5 Speakers
Purchased these speakers for Christmas to go with my Mixtrack Pro. Didn't really expect a great deal of quality when dealing with sound out of these things but I was wrong. These monitors have great sound quality for their price tag. I have had no problems with these speakers yet and they were very easy to set up, just take them out of the box and plug em right in. The adjustments on the back for bass, treble, and gain work very well to tweak the sound to your preference and the bass these things put out is great as well. If your looking for a nice set of monitors for your set up and your looking to stay low price wise, these are the way to go.
Bang for the buck
I purchased these control monitors for my project studio at home and I have to say I'm really surprised at how well they perform in spite of the relatively low price. Frequency response is flat as a pancake. While they're not quite as good a my JBL's, they're darn close.
