SeismicAudio SA-122T DJ Speakers
I, recently, blew up my DJ tower speakers at an outdoor function and needed replacements in a hurry. I found the Seismic Audio SA-122T Dual 12" Pro Audio DJ Speakers on-line and ordered a pair. They arrived at my doorstep two days later and I, immediately, unboxed them and hooked them up to a Sound Code Systems SA-2450A Power Amp (450 wrms/ch.) to make sure they could handle the power. Then, I hooked them up to a Hafler P-7000 TransNova Amp (500 wrms/ch.)for the same reason.
I have to say, I was not expecting much for what I had paid. I just needed a quick fix until I could repair my DJ tower speakers. Not only did the SA-122T's handle all the power that I shot to them, but they did it with plenty of sound level output and suprising fidelity. And, this from a long-time audiophile with a home system that includes Magnepan 2.5R's and custom made hy-brid tube/MOSfet power amps.
No, I won't be replacing the Maggies, but the DJ tower speakers are history. And, I can't...

Affordable price point, great sound for the $$
I picked up a pair of these speakers to add to our stage PA system after having used the 12" and 15" floor monitors - we were impressed with their capability and flexibility, given the low price to get into a PAIR of them. Our band's PA system was losing mids. Our older 15" mains were throwing sound just fine but to get full-sounding mids, we ended up with painful highs. So we re-worked the dbx DriveRack and are now splitting the higher mids and the highs out into these speakers, which gives us a nice, filled out mid-range pop without taking off anyone's head with the highs. They aren't JBLs or Cerwin Vegas, but then they didn't cost an arm and a leg either! A start-up band or DJ can get into a pair of these for an extremely reasonable start-up cost. We've spent around $6000 over the last 6 months putting together a complete performance package for a live band. Speakers, oddly, have been around 15% of that total cost thanks in part to Seismic Audio, who is also among the fastest...
Awesome mains
My band picked up 2 of these. I cant say enough about them. They are great! Durable, well made. Sound quality vs. price point is amazing!
We have these stacked on top of 15" subs. So they are taking mainly just mids and highs. pushing about 500watts to each and they are doing just fine. Very clear sound. Very happy customer.
