Suprisingly good
I just dj'd a school dance. Filled a school gym with bass. Very clean sound. Not muddy, nice and punchy.

Nice portable 18" subwoofer
Pumps out a considerable amount of bass from an unbelievably small cabinet, it fits under my 5' folding table.

Pricey,but worth it!
What can I say about this powered sub, IT KICKS _SS! Shopped around for long time,listened to lots of different brands. When it came down to which sub had best sound,and was easy to move and hook up,hands down JBL 518S was my choice! I can't believe I read some reviews from people saying negative things about this product. Obviously amateurs who don't know what the hell they are doing. The only negative thing I can say about JBL is their prices. You guys are way too expensive,great stuff but pricey! I was able to purchase it for $809.00 too so first time I was able to find lower price than Amazon,which has never happened before,but yes it was a resealed box,but still a new speaker with guarantee intact.Sure you could spend less,but you will get just that!
